DIY Chalkboard Products

Today I'm going to show you how to make DIY Chalkboard Products and how to make some chalkboard paint.

Now there are two alternative options to Chalkboard Paint.
You could either buy Chalkboard Paint but that's pretty expensive.
Or you could make it in ANY colour you want.

To make your own DIY Chalkboard Paint. You will need:

  • Non Sanded Grout
  • Half a cup of acrylic paint
  • Disposable Cup
  • Stick (to stir)
  • A tablespoon
1. Start of by taking 1 tablespoon of your non sanded grout and put into your disposable cup.
2. Next take your acrylic paint and dump it in the cup with the non sanded grout
3. With your stick, slowly mix it all together. Try to break any lumps that might me in the paint mix. Voila it's DONE! It's just like the chalkboard paint but cheaper.

Now that you have your chalkboard paint either the DIY or bought version you can now start making these projects.

1. Chalkboard Cup
  • Chalkboard Paint
  • A Plain Cup
  • Masking Tape
  • Sandpaper
  • A paintbrush
  • Chalk
  • Kitchen Paper
Start of by taking your cup and put on masking tape at the bottom half of the cup, try to make it as straight as possible. The reason we taped the bottom half is cause' you know you lips is  touching the top part. I also taped it around the handle. ;)
Next sand the bottom half of your cup so that the paint has a better adhesion to the cup.
Get your chalkboard paint and paint it on as smooth a layer as you can. Don't worry if it's not opaque, cause we're going to let it dry for 2 hours. For the second layer, if you're not using store bought paint then make a new batch and paint it. Once your done with painting the cup let it dry overnight.
After your cup has dried, carefully pull away the masking tape. It may chip but that's OK, if your OCD then you can go over it if you'd like.

Grab your chalk and gently rub the chalk onto the painted surface of the cup, then using some kitchen paper wipe it off a bit. We're doing this step to prime the cup!

2. Picture Frame Chalkboard
  • Chalkboard Paint
  • A Picture Frame With The Glass
  • A Foam Brush (less stroke marks since on glass)
  • Chalk
  • Kitchen Paper
1. Take out the glass from your picture frame.

2. Apply a thin layer of the paint onto your glass. This may need a few coats. Let each layer dry for 5 minutes before applying another coat. Every time you paint on a new layer make a new batch if you're using the DIY version. Once you are done painting on the glass, let it dry overnight. Mine took 3 layers of paint.

3. Grab your chalk and gently rub the chalk onto the glass, then using some kitchen paper wipe it off a bit. We're doing this step to prime the glass!

4. Assemble the picture frame together and we are done!

3. Chalkboard Notebook
  • Chalkboard Paint
  • A Paintbrush
  • Chalk
  • Kitchen Paper
1. Firstly, grab your notebook and paint your paint over the surface with your paintbrush. You'll probably need 2 layers so let each layer dry for 15 minutes. When you are letting your last coat dry, let it dry overnight.
2. Once it's dried grab your chalk and...
Well you know the deal rub it on gently, then wipe it off gently with kitchen paper.

Perfect, we're done!

March Favs!

March is over, so now I gotta do my March Favs!
Lets get going...

So as you guys should know, I made a Twitter Page and a Facebook Page. A lovely follower of mine Tass Butler is the owner of a Vintage Store 'Pretty Little Vintage'. I took a look at it and I fell in love with it! <3

I really liked this glasses necklace (no I don't it, in fact nothing from her but it looks amazing)

  • Kitsch Floral Geek Chic Glasses
How cute is that?!?

  • My Blog
I love blogging and I have amazing viewers like you guys. I also really liked designing a logo

It's not professional, I know but HEY, whateves!

  • Benefit It's Potent Eye Cream
I haven't mention this product at all, so I should give you guys a little background info. When I ordered once from Benefit they were having a 2 Freebies Sale and who doesn't love Freebies. There were 3 choices and I chose this and a moisturizer. When it arrived (sample size of course) I loved it and there it was my STAPLE eye cream.

  • Lush Creamy Candy Bubble Bar
I just tried out this product and the main reason why I love it is because it smells like Lush Bubblegum Lipscrub and that smells great. It kinda smells like banana bubblegum to me personally...
Which I like!

  • Zoella280390
Yes, I know she's technically not an item, but hey. Oh WELL! I love Zoe she makes amazing videos and you guys should most definitely check her out if you haven't.
A lot of you guys have asked me if I know why she's called Zoella280390. I find it pretty weird that you're asking me but I DO know why so I guess I'll tell. Oh, and I can remeber the 280390 part, cause a LOT of people CAN'T! :p
Zoella = No specific reason
280390 = She was born on the 28th of March on 1990

Well that's all my March Favs!
I feel like this month has passed by in a flash!
If there's more I can think of then I'll add it on!

Fun Fact: I watch Minecraft Vids!

But no, I'm that girl who dresses like, well, casual I guess. Oh and I feel like saying that I don't need glasses/contacts, I've got only one piercing (the usual kind) and that I got no tattoos. Hmm, I'm not quite sure why you need to know that, but...

Oh well. LOL

My personality is kind, funny, and loves my viewers. Thank you all so much, I have a lot of kind viewers (just remember I started this blog 3 DAYS ago)
